Audio, but there’s sometimes a price that comes with wireless headphones or earbuds: the dreaded audio lag. If you’ve found that your Bluetooth headphones suffer from audio lag when connected to Windows, you’re not alone. The good news is that there are many ways to fix the problem and drastically reduce the lag when using Bluetooth audio in Windows 11.
Watch your distance
Bluetooth headphones and earbuds work best when you’re close to the source, e.g. B. your Windows computer. Most have a range of no more than 30 feet, but interference, delay, and other audio glitches can occur at half that distance or less. Also watch out for obstacles like walls and other people. For best results, sit directly in front of the PC, and when in doubt, get as close as possible.
Check for interference from other devices
In general, modern Bluetooth devices like headphones are pretty good at rejecting interference from other devices and technologies. However, if you’re having an issue with your headphones, check the immediate area for other devices that might be unintentionally causing an error. Topping the list: other wireless devices like Bluetooth speakers or security cameras, cordless phones in use, and a running microwave. To see if something nearby is causing a problem, try moving your laptop and headphones to another room or outside.
Switch your computer’s Bluetooth connection
