Pietro Lombardi is good friends with Amira and Oliver Pocher.instagram/screenshot
Amira Pocher was a guest on “Sat.1 Frühstücksfernsehen” on Friday. There she spoke about her way into the public eye, but also about allegations of double standards against her in children and marketing in public.
Right at the start of the topic, moderator Marlene Lufen emphasized that she found Oliver Pocher’s approach to criticizing influencers to be “hard on the limit” and “a bit too much”. Then she asked Amira why the topic “Children on the Internet” is so important to her.
“Of course it’s cute, but you’re simply taking away the child’s right to privacy. The child doesn’t have any media skills yet, they don’t know what the Internet is and where pictures can end up. But we’ve now seen where they can end up .”
She addresses a new function on YouTube that shows which parts of a video have been rewound frequently. In the case of a mom blogger, the point where she is changing her child would have been rewound or paused three times as often. She also emphasizes that the children’s display only benefits the parents, for example in the form of likes, reach and advertising contracts. In Amira Pocher’s eyes, this is irresponsible.
Criticism of Sarah Engels and Pietro Lombardi
Marlene Lufen then asked her if it would not be difficult for her and her husband that close friend Pietro Lombardi showed his child on the Internet. However, Amira clearly differentiates there. Pietro himself decided a year or two ago not to show at least his son’s face anymore. He was also criticized by others because his son’s mother doesn’t do that and doesn’t pixelate anything. Sarah Engels has already done several cooperations for toys with her son and regularly shares photos and videos of him. The Pochers have publicly criticized this several times. However, Amira finds it “cool and really strong” that Pietro still pulls through not showing his child’s face.
However, there would also be differences as to what photos are posted and at what frequency. Putting a fun family photo online once a month would not be the same as showing your child every day in all life situations.
Amira Pocher is accused of double standards
But Amira Pocher is also confronted with the accusation of double standards when it comes to her own marketing. She herself has launched her own cosmetics brand and recently promoted her new nail polish colors, whereupon it rained criticism. Under a post from the brand itself, she was also looking for a social media manager or content creator for her business. For example, one user wrote: “Today I know that both are possible, consumer criticism and consumption”. When asked about this accusation, she replies that advertising is not just advertising and that prices and quality are also important.
“There are real influencer brands that are only artificially built, where the product only accounts for two percent and the rest is simply marketing. These discount codes with 70, 80 percent, utopian prices and they then buy from AliExpress and sell it off then just to young people who spend their pocket money on it.”
She means, for example, LED lamps that are advertised as tooth whiteners. She emphasizes: “Knowing that it’s not a good product, we criticize that.” She herself has had collaborations for years. She clearly describes herself as an entrepreneur who is regularly in the factory and works for her company. However, people would not listen properly and would not understand the real message behind their criticism.
However, she also has to deal with criticism. Because even during their appearance on Sat.1, some viewers complained that they did not want to see the Pochers on TV because of their way of criticizing other influencers in public.
Amira Pocher is currently defending her business model on SAT.1 breakfast television, which is known to consist of bullying. I hate this woman so much 😭😭😭😭
