Warner Bros. Games and Turtle Rock Studios have released a launch trailer for Tunnels of Terror, the first post-launch expansion for Back 4 Blood. The trailer shows the new playable Cleaners, Ridden Ridden and Ridden Hives PvE activities of the DLC.
Tunnels of Terror adds two melee-focused Cleaners: the defensive Sharice and the aggressive Heng. Sharice is an ex-firefighter who wields an ax – her passive buff increases armor plates. She also has additional trauma resistance and increases overall squad health.
Heng uses his knife against the Horsemen using the skills he learned while owning a restaurant. He can sense gear through walls and nearby Hive entrances while providing a team buff that allows everyone in the squad to reuse their gear and stay on offense.
Seven new weapons will be added, which should help in further perfecting your ideal gear. And when you’re ready, you can dive into the new No Hope difficulty, which starts alongside Tunnels of Terror.
Ridden Hives offers a new way for people to play Back 4 Blood if you and your friends have already completed the campaign a few times and don’t feel like playing it again. The PvE activity sees your squad of four navigating a sprawling cave of interconnected tunnels filled with Ridden.
In Ridden Hives, you’ll find that new warped Ridden have joined the existing roster of enemies: the Urchin, the Shredder, and the Ripper.
Tunnels of Terror launches April 12th. Tunnels of Terror is included in the Ultimate and Deluxe editions of Back 4 Blood and the Annual Pass. You can also pick it up yourself, although prices have not yet been confirmed. If you haven’t tried Back 4 Blood and are wondering if it’s for you, check out our Back 4 Blood review.
