Bloonstained Ritual of the Night x Child of Light Crossover

Metroidvania side-scroller Bloodstained Ritual of the Night has received a new free update introducing the heroine of Child of Light’s indie RPG title Aurora. Players can now select Aurora to battle through the twisting castle in this new crossover. The free update is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC via Steam and GOG. There will also be a patch for the Nintendo Switch version.

As Aurora, take on the demon-infested Hellhold Castle to save Lemuria. The new content is written in the same poetic style as Child of Light, as Aurora sets out to save her friends and of course break the castle’s curse.

Aurora’s unique abilities have been added to the game, offering a brand new set of moves to master. Aurora can use the beam of light to fight enemies using abilities like escape and spikeproof armor. As Aurora evolves, her adult form can swim underwater.

How to play as Aurora in Bloodstained

To play as the Child of Light, players must select Aurora from the main menu and select a save slot to start a new game. Then you can venture into the castle with her abilities and don’t have Miriam’s Shardbinder abilities, which means you have to find new ways to traverse the world.

Shards can be used to improve Aurora’s abilities such as: B. their familiars (a passive ability) and summon (an active ability). Shards represent each of their lost friends. One of those friends is Igniculus, who can help with healing, cast slow spells, and provide a passive boost. Experience can be gained by using them in battle, upgrading them so that they are used more often and become more effective.

Beam of Light is a power possessed by Aurora, an elemental damage that will devastate enemies in its path. Aurora can also evolve during her journey, e.g. B. by gaining wings to fly or by becoming her adult form to swim underwater. To upgrade, go to Miriam’s friend Johannes to use alchemy.

Previously, developer Artplay, through creator Kojima Igarashi, confirmed that a Bloodstained sequel was in the works last year but was still in the early stages of development as their main focus was on continuing to work on the first game.
