The Macbooks aren’t iPhones, so don’t expect the same rush as in the fall. But some models of the Macbook Pro M2 were quickly sold out.
Apple announced yesterday that the MacBook Air M2 will be available to order starting tomorrow, Friday, July 8th. Although the new computer will not be as popular as new iPhones every year, Apple has designed the Macbook Air M2 quite attractively. In addition, the manufacturer is still struggling with the semiconductor crisis, even with the Macbook Pro M2, the configurations with more RAM and more memory will only be available in two weeks. One can conclude that the better configured Macbooks Air M2 are sold out quickly and you may have to wait several weeks for your desired device. Here’s everything you need to know about pre-ordering Apple’s new calculator.
Pre-order Macbook Air M2 from Apple
Sales of the new MacBook Air begin on Friday, July 8th at 14:00 GMT. According to Apple, the first devices will start shipping on Friday, July 15th.
How to pre-order the new Macbook Air?
There are a few steps you need to take now to make pre-ordering easier and increase your chances of getting one of the models when stocks are limited.
Step 1: Create or verify your Apple Store account now
Verify the account you use to make purchases from Apple. Check that your shipping address is up to date and that your credit card is not expired and authorized. Incidentally, today is the best time for this, because before the launch of new products, Apple takes its online shop offline for several hours. Your Apple account is also not accessible during this time. How to get to your Apple account purchase information:
Step 2: Save the model you want in the Apple Store app
You can choose the Macbook Air configurations you want in the Apple Store app on your iPhone or iPad. Configure your desired Macbook Air and then click “Add to Saved Items”. The option is shown on the website and in the app as a bookmark symbol and can be found either next to a specific model on the overview page or at the top right-hand edge of the screen in the app or next to the grayed-out “Add” field on the Apple shop website .
Once the pre-order is open, you should be able to quickly find the MacBook Air under Saved Items once the store goes back online. To find your saved items in the Apple Store app, click the For You section at the bottom of the screen, scroll down and tap Saved Items.
Step 3: Create a reminder for Friday
The big advantage in Europe: you don’t have to get up early, as is the case for customers in the USA (five in the morning on the west coast!), but during the day the pending order can get lost in the hustle and bustle. It is best to set a reminder 30 or 15 minutes beforehand, so that you can be in front of the computer or with the iPhone in the good network in good time.
