Asmodee Digital and Doom Turtle announced today that a new update for Ember Knights is available. The major update, dubbed Rise of Praxis, will make this villain-filled adventure even more exciting: For the first time, Praxis will face players and challenge them even more by spawning and buffing enemies. The update also includes a new weapon, the Rift Hammer, a new room type, the Offering Pit, and some QoL improvements, as well as bug fixes and balance changes.
In this update, Praxis gains influence across Nexus and the main worlds. The Ember Knights are the only way to stop the mad witcher. For defense, players can use the Rift Hammer, a devastating melee weapon with a unique loading mechanic. The Rift Hammer can perform a cataclysmic AoE attack. This fourth weapon means even more combos and synergies for players to explore new strategies to defeat Praxis’ hordes in both solo and co-op modes.
In addition to QoL improvements, balance changes, and bug fixes, this update introduces the Offering Pit, an exciting new room where players can try their luck and be rewarded—or not! Players can also discover new colorful mysteries in the main worlds.
Ember Knights takes players on an exciting 16-bit adventure in a retro pixel art universe. Legendary warriors can fight their way through the levels – either alone or with up to three friends – and defeat hordes of enemies from specters to witchers. However, in order to emerge victorious from a fight, the play style must be adapted every time.
With this second content update for ember Knights underscore Asmodee Digital and Doom Turtle’s commitment to the game in Early Access. Smaller updates are planned throughout the summer that will introduce new gameplay mechanics and community-requested features. The team is already working on the next major content update, which is scheduled for release in late summer. This update will present a fourth biome that includes its own set of enemies and bosses.
Early Access for Ember Knights is now available on Steam (PC). Players can purchase the game for €14.99. Until April 27th, players can take advantage of a 10% introductory offer when purchasing the game.
From June 23rd to July 7th, players will receive a 20% discount if the game is purchased on Steam during the summer sale.
Keyboard and mouse control will be possible, but a controller is recommended for the ultimate gaming experience.
Ember Knights Can be played solo, online and in local co-op for up to four players.
