After a record premium United Club℠ Infinite Card bonus, Chase and United are back with another increased card offering. And this time it doesn’t just appeal to super frequent flyers.

Our ever-popular United card, the United℠ Explorer Card, now offers a bigger bonus of 60,000 bonus miles after you spend $3,000 on purchases in the first 3 months of account opening, and an additional 10,000 miles after you spend a total of $6,000 Purchase within the first 6 months. Typically, this card offers 40,000 miles after meeting the minimum spend requirements, so the opportunity to earn an additional 30,000 miles is a good deal.

This bonus is worth an average of $910 on flights based on Insider’s United mileage rating of 1.3 cents each. It’s possible to get an even better return on your awards, especially when you redeem your miles for premium cabin flights on United partners like Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines and SWISS.

It’s a decent (though not exceptional) card for regular spending, too, earning you 2x miles on eligible United purchases, 2x miles on dining and hotel stays booked directly with the hotel, and 1 mile per dollar on everything else . But that’s not where this card really shines.
